Are you new to Rooted Family Chiropractic? Maybe you’ve never seen a chiropractor before. It’s to be expected that you might have questions or concerns. We’ve gathered the most common questions that our patients ask us below.

Once I start to see a chiropractor, will I have to go forever?

It’s up to you how long you want to continue getting the benefits that chiropractic gives you. If you want to prevent ailments and ensure you can stay well, you can see us periodically. IF you choose not to, however, that’s fine by us!

Does it hurt to be adjusted?

Generally, no. Little pressure is required to make the adjustment. If you hear a noise, rest assured that it’s just gas leaving the joint and isn’t a cause for concern.

Is chiropractic a cure for everything?

Chiropractic doesn’t cure anything. What it does is help your body to heal itself.

Do I need a referral from my physician to see you?

No. No referral is required.

Do you work with my other doctors?

Yes, we’ll be happy to work in conjunction with an MD or other specialists you see.

Will I be adjusted on my first visit?

No. The first day is a discover day where we want to learn about you and inform you about chiropractic. We’ll perform an examination. Then, Dr. Rachael will take the time to study and analyze your results.

I’ve had back surgery. Can I still see a chiropractor?

Yes. We’ll take a look at your X-rays and go over the details of your surgery. If you have hardware in your spine, that segment won’t move. We can, however, adjust above and below it.
